2017 Gamer Resolution Guide

The New Year is about to begin and resolutions will come along with it. To help bring in the New Year, here’s a list of resolutions with Gamer’s in mind!

1. Spend more time with family.
We all love our video game time, but there some gamers out there that may not realize how much time they spend with their consoles, over their family members. If you’ve been on a gaming binge through all of 2016, maybe it's a good idea to start 2017, with some friends and family.

2. Anger Management
Sometimes it’s funny when a player rages, but some of them rage on and offline. If you find yourself yelling at the top of your lungs while gaming, pissed off when you stop playing and allow it to play a role in how you’re treating others in person, you might want to take a look into some anger management classes. Video are supposed to be fun, so just relax a little.

3. Eat Healthier
It’s seem as though chips and soda are the snack of choice and let's be honest, it's not a healthy one. While it is convenient and yummy, it's a good idea to think about expanding the menu a little. Taking a break from a game and making a solid meal is beneficial to your body and mind.

4. Complete the backlog!
Every true blue Gamer, has a backlog at some point. Games we meant to pick up and didn’t, games we started and didn’t finish. That list can grow out of control pretty quickly. It’s time to complete that list before the end of 2017, and start 2018 with a clean gaming log! Difficult, I know, but you do it!

5. Platinum a Souls game.
Not everyone hunts for trophies, but for those that do, I would recommend Dark Souls III. The Souls games are difficult to a degree and require more than a Rambo mentality. I have beaten every game in the series and I have yet to platinum one. I think I will attempt to do that in 2017. If you haven’t played Demon's Souls, Dark Souls or even BloodBorne, you should make this a 2017 challenge for yourself.

On that note, I am going to get ready to make a New Year’s Turkey. While it bakes, I will spend a little free time playing Battlefield 1, then finish my evening by serving my family dinner and ringing in the New year together. How are you going to spend New Year's Eve? Do you have any New Year Resolutions you’d like to add? Let me know what they are in the comments!

Happy New Year! We’ll see you in 2017!
