I own a PS3 and my cousin owns a Xbox and i know for a fact that PS3 graphics are way better in every way than Xbox.And you have to pay for a online membership in Xbox while PS3 online is free.And PS network points are more easy to under stand than Microsoft points.So as of how many people tell me Xbox is better I am the ultimate gaming master and i know for a fact that PLAYSTATION 3 WON AND STEPPED ALL OVER XBOX.And playstation wins hands down any day.

Xbox360 have sold more and made more money know matter what people think is the best console, I also think If the xbox360 had not done so well they would not be making kinetic hardware – updating its online system and working on a next gen console this is a sign they have made some big bucks over the years .., I think a lot of people seem to forget its not just about the best or latest technology that sells a console , Its about what it can offer jo public and price and whether the developers can take advantage of the great hardware in the console. Well to me the xbox360 v ps3 has been won by Xbox we should be looking at the next gen and I will keep an open mind that the ps4 will be better this time around.

look when the 360 was released the ps3 was released after. As a result microsoft gained millions more in revenue than sony and thats a fact and in today's market its hard to see how sony can make up that loss in revenue. However because of the delay new technology emerged during that delay ie. blu ray sony can do alot more with the ps3 hardware. So even if the ps3 seems better Microsoft has a lot more money to spend on delvelopment on the 720 than sony.

When the next gen consolues come out if sony releases the ps4 at the same time as the 720 the consoles will be the same theoretically as both companies has same access to same technology to build there consoles. But if one waits that company will lose millions to the other but may get better technology if it devolps however its and extreme risk for sony now 2 do that again and microsoft will want to relase first anyway so if sony releases at the same time the ps vs xbox war will be over as the consoles should be around the same but if sony waits it may put them out of business either my friends when these consoles are released the war is over.

If you look at the video, specifically at round 2, the features change for the better or worse, but for every next generation or improvement of sku, a con is fixed and the system has a new pro.

Although the Xbox 360 have came far with technologic accessories like headsets like the Turtle Beaches, custom covers, and other, along with satisfying there customers with frequent updates of what is happening in the xbox world. Also with news of moving into motion like the Kinect.. (but is hiding back on movements of 3D, and the kinect still has many bugs that its on the majority review of "wait until they come out with a better version")

Much work is needed for there Security, as known someone hacked into Sony, taking users private information like credit card info, and such other. And leaving gamers without Online.
The hardware needs to be expanded and pushed to its limits, not meet dead end, if so the graphics can be improved.
The Online is free, but that doesn't mean its good, for Sony needs to work on achieving better online connection
This could be depending, but a PS3 needs to have better stability, there have been reports of the 'Disc Spinner Of Death', where the system mount-functions and kills the game disc and/or the internal part for reading the disc breaks.
Other Physical breakage from overtime use or physically damaging system occurs on a often basis, but depending on what breaks, most of it is replaceable / fixable; but I mean breakage and damages happen with any system, including the Xbox systems
The Controllers are great, but as mentioned in the videos, work can be made to adjust the back triggers for finger comfort and so no buttons are accidentally hit when set down

Awesome Graphics and Sound! (better than the Xbox 360's by far) [also depends on TV, but effort the system puts in for the graphics is what is being counted]
The controller life being rechargeable rather than going through hundreds of batteries or having to recharge batteries all the time is great!
The Input and Output has a lot of options, and located on both the front and the back of the system
The Ps3 is better for those interested in multipurpose uses, like to watch DVDs, Blu Ray, Netflix (movies on demand using internet), Music, Radio, Social Networking... its like a media computer but with a gaming attachment.. and like serious gaming, not addicted games computer gaming.

So back to the question after looking at what the systems are now, the Sony playstation is heading towards motion, 3D, Wireless and is hopeing to get better and invest more into their gaming systems
Microsoft Xbox is heading towards 'pure' motion, not so much in 3D, but non projecting 3D graphics are hoped to be improved. Also, Microsoft is looking to add more features such like the built in features, and incorporating multipurpose, possibly pushing towards linking with the phone community i assume based on alliances they're making with companies.

Also some gaming advice;
don't buy the new newest thing, wait until its updated
don't leave your systems on, it causes damage and bills out of your wallet
And if a company says they're coming out with a new generation while your determining to buy a current generation process.. wait a bit so its not like you buy the pro, which is as known to suck, and the elite coming out few weeks later, and everything better in FEW WEEKS TIME

I've had my 80g backwards compatable ps3 for about 4 yrs and have had only minor issues occur (such as freezing or network issues), while it seems like everyone I've known with a 360 has has red-ring at some point. Now if someone were to poll 360 owners to get an accurate ratio of those who've had red-ring (within a range of different time-ranges), I'd bet the farm that over 75% of them would answer that they did after 4 yrs. So while XBox owners believe they have a more powerful system (thanks to developers taking the easy route and developing for 360 than porting to ps3), they forget they bought two of 'em. Meanwhile Bill G is taking intergalactic vacations via personal jetpack and folding your $600 (300 per system x 2) and placing it next to his personal piece of folded space time fabric in his billionaire wallet. Now I know he donates large sums to multiple charities, but isn't Japan in more need of economic support?

Couldn't have said it any better PS4 Guru! Final Fantasy is a perfect example of the demonstration that Blu-Ray is beyond conventional disk players! 1 disk for the PS3 and far better graphics compared to 4 discs on the 360 and the graphics attention to detail isn't close! PS3 has got the puddin!

I own PS3 and I tried both controllers, I'd swap to xbox any day cause it is better. There are some drawbacks, but the video pretty much says it.

Battery life is no issue, cause you can just get 5m cable and load while you play. That's what I do.

Only drawbacks are shit store and LOUD noise in home theater use for PS3 that I can come up with. Controllers is good, but it could be a lot better.

I actually had an Xbox when I got my PS3, yet sold it to get games for my PS3 when I bought it. If anyone would have asked me a year prior about PS3 vs. Xbox, I would've said "Only idiots like PS3." Well, consider me an idiot but, I dont remember Xbox having FREE (wish I could emphasize more) online play, the best game ever created (MGS4), anything like PS Home, Blu ray, total internet connectivity, ability to sync music to MP3 players, or such an astounding game as LittleBigPlanet. (Oh... and I typed this from a PS3!)

I think the outcome is going to be the same as PS3 vs. Xbox.

Why I think this?
-They both have Pros and Cons.
-They are both competition.
-The Wii HD will not make it through.
-PS4 will have better features.
-Xbox 720 will have a larger online community and more Exclusive games.
-They are both fun, by the looks of it.
-They both have fanboys. "XBOX is soo much better than the Gaystation"-example of Xbox Fanboy, "Gaybox blows goat, PS4 wins, eat your s*** Xbox fanboys" -example of PS fanboy.

The next generation of consoles will probally belong to sony because they just make things better than microsoft,and im saying this eventhough im not a fan boy( i dont even own a PS3). My freind owns all 3 of this gen. systems, and his PS3 runs the best, while his 360 keeps getting the red ring(3 TIMES!).

I did purchase the Xbox 360 and also the ps3 right after they come out. The thing is I have got ring of dead on the Xbox 360 twice (1 with warranty, 1 without), I also have the red light of dead on my ps3 with warranty and the replacement lasted over 4 years and still working good now. My story is, after my Xbox 360 became unusable, I was only playing with my ps3 until gears of war2 came out, I've bought another Xbox mainly for that game. The first thing I realized is the graphic is really not that great, the graphic is unsmooth and unacceptable compare with ps3 games(weird that I didn't really notice when I playin with my first Xbox ), I sold the Xbox right after I beat that game and I even lost interest to play the online mode. I think I know what to spent when the next consoles released, definitely the ps4. I have a feeling it'll be more expensive and will be a late release again but I'm pretty sure its hardware will be better and last longer.
