Sony Japan Conference Announces PS4, Vita News

Early this morning for those of us in the United States, many of us were most likely sleeping. However, while we nestled in our blankets, Sony held a conference in Japan detailing the company's next generation presence in its homeland.

The biggest news was that the PlayStation 4 wouldn't be launching in Japan until 2/24/2014, a full four months after the release date of the system in the United States!

In terms of games for the PS4, there will be a Yakuza sequel titled Yakuza Restoration, a new PS4 game by Grasshopper Studios, of No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw fame, and Final Fantasy XIV will begin its PS4 beta testing in Japan the same day the system drops.

Sony has announced new Vita colors, a new Vita model that is both lighter and slimmer, and a third new Vita model called Vita TV designed to stream games from the PS4 via remote play. The low price, $100, makes the Vita TV model the perfect PS4 companion!

With Tokyo Game Show 2013 right around the corner, this is only the start to a fresh influx of PS4 news!
