Top games to play with your Player 2 on Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! That time of year where lovers quarrels are set aside, singles mingle, and romantic stuff. A happy holiday for Gamer couples alike. To celebrate, I’m listing off some of the best games to play with your Player 2 this Valentines Day!

1 Call of Duty WWII
Love or hate the franchise, Call of Duty continues to dominate the gaming industry with repetitive shooters. WWII offers you CoD multiplayer at its roots, and that's not a bad thing. Great for a gaming couple or even a group of gaming couples, that want to party up and shoot nazi zombies, random players, and play competitively.

2 Madden NFL 18
If you’re a gaming couple that is also heavy into sports, you can’t go wrong with Madden NFL 18. If your team didn’t make it to the superbowl (or win it), you can always take them there with Player 2 by your side with some Madden. Weather your playing with or against your Valentine, it doesn’t matter, just remember not to be a sore loser… or winner for that matter.

3 Knack 2
A true couch co-op experience comes in the form of Knack. This is a great family fun game that tones down the mature side of gaming. If you’re feeling casual and don’t want to play anything that requires too much commitment, this should surely pass the time with little stress. While you and Player 2 casually play through the game, you’ll be able to make small talk, share some corny jokes, and reminisce about games past. You’re sure to be a people pleaser with this one.

4 Star Wars Battlefront II
While this game has been surrounded by controversy before it even released (no thanks to microtransactions), it is surely to appeal to that hardcore Star Wars couple out there. If a little lightsaber action is your fortay, you’ll find endless opportunities to to slice and dice the enemy in some heroes vs villains, or possibly on the full battlefield. Go at it with some offline couch co-op or online mayhem, the choice is yours, but don’t forget to let Player 2 weigh in on the options.

5 Sonic Mania
Are you feeling nostalgic this Valentines Day? If that is the case, might I recommend Sonic Mania? Play online or couch co-op. While the title was recently made, anything Sonic is nostalgic in some form or another. Conveniently fun for a family of all ages, you’ll be thinking as fast as Sonic is moving! Player 2 is a perfect fit to help you take down the notorious Doctor Eggman!

6 Injustice 2
Feel like duking it out a little? Go head to head with your Valentine this year with one of last years top selling fighting games. Pit Wonder Woman against Superman and settle your differences once and for all! Choose form a slew of characters to pit against one another. If you’re a season pass owner (you can also purchase dlc separately), you’ll even be able to play as one of the 4 legendary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, available as a download now. Just keep in mind, no one likes a single move spammer. If you win this way, you really lose. Get good and come back later…

7 Thats You!
Most PS Plus subscribers already own That's You!, but it is a cheap purchase if you don’t already have it in your library. This fun multiplayer quiz game will help you get to know your Valentine that much better. Even if it doesn’t actually help you learn anything new about your Player 2, it will surely bring about some laughs this Valentines day.

8 Just about anything LEGO!
The last title on my list is more of a franchise than a specific individual title. LEGO has a large number of two player games that you and Player 2 can spend hours playing together. Sure its aimed at a younger audience, but we were all kids once and with choices from comic book titles, to Harry Potter, and much more, it's seems like a pretty solid choice. Not to mention, if there are any kids around during this gamer love session, it’ll be completely appropriate for all audiences.

Well there you have it. My top recommendations of games to play with your Valentine is complete. There are so many other titles that come to mind, but I just couldn’t begin to list them all. If you think a game should have made the list, let me know in the comments. Have a happy Valentines Day and thanks for being a reader!
