Wolfenstein and Doom are widely known as the games that helped create and popularize the first-person genre, so it's only fitting that the two games are tied together once more.
Bethesda has announced that with every copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order will be an invitation to the Doom beta, free of charge. This beta will only be available on current generation systems, including the PlayStation 4, though purchasing either the PS3 or PS4 version of Wolfenstein will give you access to the Doom beta on PS4.
It's unclear about what the beta will represent, but it's likely that the beta will focus on multiplayer aspects of the title. Bethesda has confirmed that you will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to access the beta, however.
Wolfenstein: The New Order releases on May 20th, 2014 and Bethesda hasn't mentioned when the Doom beta will officially start. Information about the game itself is still scarce, but we expect Bethesda to reveal something at this year's E3.
Will you be purchasing a copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order to gain access to the Doom beta? What features do you think the new Doom game should offer? Let us know in the comments and on Facebook!
