Developer Guerrilla Games has just announced that Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer will be free for a week beginning March 4th, 2014 to celebrate the release of their new map pack. The new map pack will be free for all Killzone: Shadow Fall users and features two brand new maps: The Cruiser and The Hangar. Additionally, special multiplayer challenges will be featured over the course of the week.
As an added bonus, a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to participate in the free week-long event, so all PlayStation 4 owners will be able to get in on the action!
The release of this map pack and the free week of multiplayer is just too coincidental for our tastes, however. With Titanfall releasing on the Xbox One on March 11th, could this week long event be Sony attempting to steal some of Titanfall's thunder with their own exclusive first person shooter?
Sony's betting on free maps and free multiplayer pushing its users into buying or sticking with a PlayStation 4 for their FPS needs, but will it be enough? Let us know in the comments and on Facebook!
