Facebook Was Interested In Project Morpheus

Project Morpheus FacebookPlayStation executive Guy Longworth has revealed some interesting news: Facebook originally had an interest in Sony's virtual reality tech, Project Morpheus.

At a presentation at the Games Marketing Summit, Longworth stated that Mark Zuckerberg, head of Facebook, requested a demonstration of Project Morpheus a week before buying the Oculus Rift. Longworth has stated that "I wish he bought ours," referencing the $2 billion dollar sum that Facebook paid for the Oculus Rift.

At first, Longsworth was confused about why Zuckerberg wanted to check out the technology but after the sale, it all became clear. "All the folks at Oculus have got big smiles on today," Longsworth stated.
