It Should Be Allowed - Final Post Made Corrections
I think that everyone should be able to hack their equipment as long as it doesnt effect any Government Agency or affect the internet in anyway. Hacking at times can be great ! It allow users to fix minor bugs, reinvent the ps3 their way, or to their own personal liking. I personally see it in comparison with your car. I have never heard chevy or any auto dealer, say you can't change your speakers, radio, tires, seat covers or even doors for that matter. Now if ps3 doesnt want to offer tech support for hacked systems thats fine for me. However ps3 could also make money from badly hacked systems, when you call them and say, hey I screwed up my system, can you send me a factory restore disk for the darn thing. It may even come with a hefty price lets say $99 for a restore kit, with tech support. That would be great too. However thats not how it is today :( Perhaps in the future playstation wont be so hard on the common user who only wants to enhance a product they paid for.
