PlayStation 4 Sales Exceed Two Million!

Before the launch of the PlayStation 4, Sony made a bold claim that it expected to sell over three million consoles by the end of 2013. When the console broke a million units during launch week, that goal seemed in reach, and with Sony's most recent sales announcement it seems the company will definitely obtain its lofty goal.

A few days ago, Sony announced that it has sold 2.1 million PS4 units in all territories, with 700,000 of those sales coming from Europe, Australia and other countries in the eastern hemisphere.

How does this compare to the Xbox One? Microsoft announced that within 24 hours of launching the console, it had sold one million units in 13 countries, a far cry from the PS4 selling over one million units in the United States alone during its launch. Microsoft has declined to issue new numbers in light of Sony's most recent announcement, leading some to believe that the Xbox One has fallen far behind the PS4 in terms of worldwide sales.

What do you think, PS4 Experts readers? Just how far is the Xbox One lagging behind the PS4? Let us know in the comments!

Great console from the start. Can't wait for what is coming for the ps4

We need more PS4 in the european stores

You could sell even more PS4, the problem is that there arent enough PS4 to buy in the european stores. Rumors in the stores saying that next chance to buy PS4 is at the end of March, how fun is that to wait for 3-4 extra months when we already have been waiting for a long time. We are a lot of people who wanna buy PS4 now, if we could.. :) Greetings from Sweden

PS4 at Bestbuy

Bestbuy is getting shipments this week of PS4's. Check with the store during the mornings.

PS4 @ Best Buy

What a joke, Best Buys in Las Vegas held all the PS4's all week stating they did not have them and had an announcment message over the phone to come in before store open 0n 12/8. They handed out tickets at 7am and allowed people to purchase @ 8am prior to normal store hours. What happened to first come first serve? Went to 3 Best Buys and each said they had around 20. So when every other store is only getting 2 or 3 at a time Best Buy really recieved a shippment of 20 on a Saturday night? What a joke, I am tempted to go to X-box one just because of the hording and price gouging going on with the PS4.
