Christmas Gift ideas for the Playstation Gamer in your life

Christmas is almost here and Gamers around the world are gearing up to celebrate. While some are finishing their wrapping of gifts, others are out doing last minute shopping. If by chance you’re still shopping for the gamer in your life or you are a gamer and seem to be stumped on what you might ask for as a last minute gift, I’m going to go ahead and drop some ideas for you. Here is a look at some of the best games and gear to look into.

MediEvil Review

(Note: I refer to this title as a remaster, but it is technically a remake). We have reached a point in gaming where remastered titles come as no surprise. I will say that when MediEvil was announced, I was surprised. I have fond memories of playing MediEvil 1 and 2 on my PlayStation console, back in the 90’s. I remember seeing the commercials advertise it on tv and I found it to be appealing. Playing it for the first time was a fun experience and it will stick with me for some time to come.

Surge 2 Review - Give me a hand!

The Surge 2, has come a long way since the first entry of the franchise was released. I feel Like it’s safe to say that, Deck 13 brought everything I enjoyed from the first title and added more to it.

Perhaps the biggest difference that stands out in my mind, comes down to two things. More NPC’s and online capability.

Control - The Review

There is a lot to say about Control. To kick things off, the list of things I dislike about the game are rather petty and don’t really matter. Not when factoring in the entire game as a whole.

When I began playing Control, the first thing that came to mind was “This game is kind of weird.” It’s literally one of those games that really builds up story as you go along. The first few hours were a little slow paced in my mind, and I was becoming concerned that I wouldn’t end up enjoying it, but alas, Control managed to pull through and make it worth my while.

Rage 2 review

Nearly 8 years after the original release, RAGE 2 has dropped. I hold the original dear to me heart, and while I thoroughly enjoyed RAGE 2, it did not offer me the same magic as its predecessor.

RAGE 2 feels like a game I have already played a dozen times over. It is fun and full of action and adventure. I like the way vehicles handle in the wasteland and I really like the weapons that were made available to me. Although The open world isn’t as massive as I was expecting it to be, it still has a pretty large map to play across.

Days Gone Review

I have spent the weekend playing through Days Gone and I have to say, The reviews I read prior to playing through, have no merit. Maybe these reviewers were having a bad day or got assigned to review the game from a genre they simply don’t like in general. I don’t know what they were thinking when they wrote their reviews, and I don’t normally comment on someone else's opinion of a game, but the poor to mediocre ratings this game has received are baffling to me. End rant.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends has been out for a little while and shows no signs of slowing down. The popularity of this title compared to other battle royale games is not simply because it’s new, nor free, but because it is actually pretty fun. I’ve dipped my feet in most of the BR games available. While I can’t say other BR’s aren’t good, Apex Legends stands above the rest for me.

Whats new with PlayStation - January 2019

While a lot of are holding our breath and awaiting a PlayStation 5 announcement, there are a few things happening with our current generation of the PS brand, outside of upcoming game releases.

For starters, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced they are acquiring Audiokinetic. This is a good move on Sony’s part, as it allows them to become a much more important staple for game developers.

Sony to skip E3 2019

Well, Game Informer has reported word directly from Sony, that the video game giant will not be making an appearance at E3 - 2019. Mixed feelings across the internet are making rounds and a lot of PlayStation fans aren’t thrilled about the idea. I’m real happy about it either, but what can you do?
